1943 Pittsburgh/Philadelphia “Steagles” Schedule- Sponsored by WWSW and Spear Men’s Shop this single fold schedule features the 10 games of the 1943 Steagles. Vg-Ex overall with a slight stain- and has Sunday Nov 21 game circled on schedule inside with score (Pitt. 35, Detroit 34). The two NFL teams merged for one season (Art Rooney was credited with the idea)- because so many players were in the service (The Steelers were down to six players). The Steagles even had co-head coaches- as neither head coach would take a demotion! The team went 5-4-1. We don’t see 1940’s schedules very often- and this one has a lot of history.
